Business Development Representative
Reports to: Chief of Staff
Compensation: Tiered commission, payable in equal, bi-monthly payments.
Purpose
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospective clients in the non-profit sector for Client Services and Learning. This role is critical in building Veritus Group’s pipeline by initiating meaningful conversations with non-profit leaders, introducing our services, and setting appointments for our Client Engagement and VGA teams.
The BDR serves as the first human connection between prospects and Veritus and should embody our mission of helping non-profit leaders achieve greater impact through strategic donor engagement.

Qualifications and Experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role, preferable nonprofit focused environment.
- Proven track record of prospecting, qualifying leads, and driving top-of funnel activity through outbound outreach strategies (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), LinkedIn, and digital communication tools.
