Certification Course for Major Gift Fundraisers

Your journey in the Certification Course for Major Gift Fundraisers begins on the course start date, when Module 1 becomes available. Each new module unlocks automatically as you complete the one you’re on. But you won’t be waiting around – right after you register, you’ll be invited into the Veritus Group Academy and our Community Hub. In the Academy, you’ll find your bonus course ready and waiting for you. In the Hub, you’ll discover a vibrant community of fellow fundraisers, our exclusive White Paper library, and upcoming Community Calls you’re invited to join.

This course is designed to fit into your life. It’s completely self-paced and flexible, so you can engage with the content in a way that works for you during the 8-week course period. We recommend setting aside 4 to 5 hours each week to complete your course work, connect with the community, and participate in Community Calls.

You’ll receive lifetime access to the course content, allowing you to revisit the material whenever you need a refresher or deeper insight. However, to earn your certification and Veritus Scholar status, you’ll need to complete the course by the set deadline. This completion deadline is firm and cannot be extended.

You’ll have 8 weeks from the course start date to complete everything and earn your certification. If you do not complete the course by the end date, you will still have access to the material but not be eligible for certification or CFRE credits.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible for CFRE credits, earn a certificate of completion, and the distinguished title of Veritus Scholar. This certification is more than just a badge – it’s a mark of excellence that signals to your employer, peers, and the broader philanthropic community that you have the knowledge and skills to engage donors meaningfully and effectively. To qualify, you must complete the course assessments by the deadline. This deadline is firm and cannot be extended.

With the exception of our Q&A and Peer Group Calls, all calls are recorded and will be made available to participants in the hub within 24 hours.
