In this comprehensive training, you’ll learn the tools and systems that will help you take a disciplined approach to effectively managing your fundraising program in a way that honors your donors and your staff.
This comprehensive training runs in tandem with our certification courses in Major Gifts & Mid-Level Fundraising, so your entire team can learn the same language and implement a consistent system.
Participants who complete the course in full will become Veritus Scholars.
“I brought my team of fundraisers to VGA so we could speak a common language. We have experienced tremendous success implementing The Veritus Way, and I would recommend putting every MGO through this course.”
— Rob Smoot, LDS Philanthropies

"The Certification Course for Managers is extraordinary – it’s the best fundraising course I’ve ever taken – and I’ve taken many! It’s both inspirational and extremely grounded in data. I’ve learned so much about how to set goals for my team, how to evaluate performance, how to coach my team, as well as how to prepare realistic fundraising revenue projections, based on actual plans for every donor.”

“I’ve been in major gifts fundraising for 14 years and it was time for some fresh thinking. Every module of this course had something to offer. I would highly recommend this as a course for honing skills of major gifts program managers or execs needing to build a skill set”

Ashley Jacobs
“Last year I became an MGO; I was nervous and unsure. But after spending time in Veritus trainings and coaching sessions, I quickly learned how straight-forward major gift work is, and that building authentic, real relationships is fundamental. Now, I’ve fallen in love with this profession and have found meaning and purpose. I can’t say enough good about Veritus Group and how they’ve helped me develop into a successful MGO.”
Q & A
You probably have some questions about these courses, or even which one would be right for you:
-
I work with donors, but I also have management responsibilities. Which course should I take?
Both courses teach you the principles of The Veritus Way of working with donors, but only the course for Managers and Executives gives you management tools.
-
I've been in major gift fundraising for a long time. Will I get anything out of this?
We’ve had glowing reviews from both novices and long-time fundraisers who have taken this course. If you’re not already using The Veritus Way to qualifying and tiering donors, setting goals and communication plans, presenting asks to donors, and keeping your focus on partner relationships, then you’ll get a lot out of this course.
-
Will I have time for this course?
We get it – fundraising is a lot of work! This course can be done on your own schedule over 13 weeks, but you will need to find 3-5 hours to work on each of its 8 modules. If you can structure this time into the next 3 months, you can do it!
-
Do you offer individual coaching sessions?
Individual coaching sessions are offered as an optional add-on for participants in our Certification Courses. For an additional $275 per month (total cost: $3,300), our individual coaching option is a fantastic way to receive personalized guidance as you implement The Veritus Way into your work.
The coaching package includes 12 monthly sessions where your Veritus coach will support the integration and application of your learning and provide a source of accountability, encouragement, and guidance. Each session is 45-minutes long, with some minor prep or follow-up required as directed by your coach.
The commitment is for a year, but you can cancel with one month’s notice at any time. You’ll have the option to sign up when you complete your course registration.
